One week ago, on the last day of October was Drawksweve, the celebration of the Great Drawkwa Liver harvest.
Every alapca in Alapca-land will receive livers from Drawkwa himself, to give out on Drawksweve to all of the alapcas who beg for them. These livers are then used to build bonfires, and for eating. The bonfires symbolize the rising of the spirits to go and join Drawkwa, the Toverkies, and the Overseeing Frogs. Alapcas then eat any leftovers after the bonfires burn out.
The problem is that many alapcas get more livers than they can burn, give away, or eat. This is why Selffaw, the current Friendly Dictator is on the case. Selffaw's promise, for this term is to:
The question you might ask though is: "If Drawkwa is Almighty and knows all, why will there be alapcas that are in need of livers?" The answer is that, as well as spirits of alapcas, the creatures from The Land of Darkness are able to roam all across Alapca-land. These creatures are not rewarded by Drawkwa, and therefore get their livers by stealing them from helpless alapcas.
The most common creature stealing livers are called Kreepers. They are a close cousin to Keepers, but they are more hostile, and sneakier. They can go invisible, and go through any surface. The only way they can be caught is by trapping them under a light, making them flee back to The Land of Darkness.
