Alapca Times Monthly Poll

The Vrius Strikes Back

March 2020,

The Thunderwing Hospital that Cod promised to build during her reign has been finished. It is able to hold thousands of Alapcas and treat them if they have injuries from any of Eebtihw's evil schemes. But as it turns out, that will not be the only thing the Thunderwing Hospital will be used for.

Recently, in this month, many Alapcas have been described as:
"Walking in circles repeatedly and not stopping for any reason whatsoever."
Alapca scientists have heard this story before, and immediately identified it as Noegdip Disease, which hit Alapca-land in the September of 2018. Although, in that time the only Alapca affected was Noegdip. But now, the outbreak has spread all around Alapca-land with many Alapcas calling in sick, and having to be transferred to the Thunderwing Hospital.

What's even worse, is that Eebtihw, the Vrius spreader before, seems to have mutated the strain of Noegdip Disease, and the cure from 2018 no longer cures it. Currently, Dr. Nikomachos is on the case, and is trying to develop a cure, as well as a Vrius-fighting agent that can actively protect Alapca-land from any more strands of Noegdip Disease.

All of this commotion has caused all Alapcas to stay home, and even try to hibernate (as they do in the summer) to say safe and Vrius-free. This will most likely affect when the next election will take place, given that it is scheduled to happen in April. Cod is able to stay in power in an emergency like this, but she hasn't spoken much about whether or not she will stay in power.
Xybolseptazeptoxiceminorerhahhb, the thumbs-up shaped limb decay medication

As for the Thunderwing Hospital, due to its newness and size, all of the infected Alapcas are able to stay there and be treated as much as they can. It has been recently found out that the limb decay medication, Xybolseptazeptoxiceminorerhahhb, has helped the sick Alapcas to feel better, but not get entirely cured. All of the medicine making Alapcas are pitching in to make more of it, as well as any other medical supplies used to help the infected Alapcas.

Although this outbreak isn't that severe at the moment, Dr. Nikomachos estimates that many more Alapcas can be infected by this Vrius.
