Week of the Frog

May 2018,

It is the 12th of May, and the start of the Week of the Frog.

The Week of the Frog is a one week celebration of summer and the Overseeing Frogs. It starts on the 12th and ends on the 18th. This celebration happens once a year in Alapca-land, and all of the Alapcas free their frogs, and let them become divine.
At 8:10 AM, all of the Alapcas across Alapca-land will go to the end of their island and drop their frogs towards the surface of Earth (Alapca-land is made up of floating islands over Earth). But these frogs don't spagettify, they sprout wings, and fly up to the clouds and join all of the other Overseeing frogs.
Overseeing Frog

The Overseeing frogs are literally the frogs that oversee Alapca-land. They make sure that all of the Alapcas are safe, and tell when danger is near. Every Overseeing frog has a lifespan a bit longer than a year, meaning that the Week of the Frog is the way Alapca-land replenishes the population.

After freeing their frogs, Alapcas partake in a large feast. Everyone eats Drawkwa livers and drink frog water. One Alapca describes the Week of the Frog as,
"A scrumptious, froggy, yummy feast to celebrate summer and the Overseeing Frogs."
